Q:Worst cover? What is the worst cover of a book that you’ve read and loved?.
Probably ‘City of Dragons‘ by Robin Hobb – I love the series, and this book in particular, but the cover just doesn’t appeal to me at all. It probably isn’t helped by the fact it doesn’t match the first two, which have sort of neutral creamy coloured backgrounds either – it really bugs me looking at them on the shelf!

The question this week:
Books that I’d love to see are those that cause a good healthy debate, have a message behind them, contrast a subject/public opinion with the past or make kids want to read! So, on those criteria I’ve picked:
Note on The Hobbit: It doesn’t really fit any of those criteria, but I think it could quite happily replace Great Expectations (which we did our GCSE coursework on). I think it’d appeal more to kids, and there’s a huge range of coursework you could set, regarding the world-building, the characters etc, that you could easily tailor it to different abilities.
