Top Ten Tuesday is a feature hosted at The Broke and The Bookish where they post a list idea and everyone is welcome to post the list with their own answers. This week’s topic is “Top Ten Favorite Movies or TV Shows!”.
Top Ten TV Shows
Buffy was the first show I ever really got hooked on and I absolutely loved it. I still do! Now and again I still stick a Buffy or two on, and it’s my go-to when I’m having a sick day (along with things like Despicable Me and Frozen!)
Game of Thrones
I started watching Game of Thrones just because I loved the books so much and wanted to keep enjoying the world and the characters! It’s a bit gory for me but because I’ve already read the books I pretty much know when to close my eyes so it’s all good!
Once Upon a Time
I watched the first two series recently with Matt and my family, but I’ve yet to watch the third. It’s occasionally a little slow, but I just like how different it is.
The Big Bang Theory
Who doesn’t love The Big Bang Theory?! It’s funny, it’s got romance and friendships, and it’s got plenty of geeky inside jokes which makes me happy!
I’m not the biggest Doctor Who fan – I admit I’m one of those who only really got into it when David Tennant came in. I really liked him, but then I have to confess I loved Matt Smith even more! I’m a bit nervous about Peter Capaldi but I can’t wait to see where he takes it.
The Vampire Diaries
The Vampire Diaries is one of those shows that just never appealed to me. I’d read the first three books and found them decidedly average, but our friend raved and raved and finally talked us into giving the TV show a go. It’s surprisingly full of twists with some complex characters and relationships you can’t help but get invested in!
This is one I watched with Matt fairly recently and had kinda mixed feelings about. Once I got into it though I really enjoyed it, and I loved both Lex and Lois as characters. We’ve still got the last series to watch so that’ll probably be our treat after he finishes his Masters!
Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman = a fantastic combination. It occasionally gets a bit too clever I think (you can definitely see the same touches in Doctor Who sometimes!), but I really enjoy it, and I love trying to figure it out.
Agents of SHIELD
There was absolutely no way I’d be able to resist this one…Phil Coulson and Joss Whedon? Hell yes! And Fitz and Simmons are just the best.
I love House’s sarcasm, his cynicism and his wittiness. I love trying to figure out what’s wrong with the patients/what they’ll try next (lupus is usually a pretty safe bet for something they’ll guess!)
What shall I try next?
Grimm, Pretty Little Liars and Arrow are all on my list as shows to try, though I’ve not yet got my hands on them. Any thoughts on which I should try (or any even better suggestions for me)?!
