Question 1: How tall are you?
Short! I’m 5 foot 3 if we’re being generous, but honestly, just over 5’2″
Question 2: Do you have a hidden talent? If so, what?
Not that I can think of… I was told last week if I had a ‘mundane superpower’ it’d be the ability to spot a spelling mistake from a ridiculous distance away but somehow I don’t think that counts!
Question 3: What’s your biggest blog related pet-peeve?
Sadly, probably promo posts etc. I don’t mind them occasionally, but I hate finding a blog I like and then having to trawl through four or five promo posts before I get to anything the blogger has actually written.
Question 4: What’s your biggest non-blog related pet-peeve?
Maybe facebook statuses and similar with things like ‘generally’ when they meant ‘genuinely’, ‘defiantly’ instead of ‘definitely’, ‘should of’ instead of ‘should have’…. The use of ‘your’/’you’re’ and ‘to’, ‘two’ and ‘too’ interchangeably…
I’m sorry but I admit it, I am that person who gets wound up by these things! (Though I’m not the person who comes along to have a go)
Question 5: What’s your favorite song?
Oooh too hard! It’d be a Linkin Park song though.
Question 6: What’s your favorite Etsy shop that isn’t yours?
I tend to avoid Etsy for ages because I’m skint, then rediscover it, spend hours there, and use up all my self control not buying things…. My current favourit is probably Rooby Lane. Just look at these!
Question 7: What’s your favorite way to spend your free time when you’re alone?
Reading, blogging, playing the Sims and exploring fanfiction.net. Also sometimes cooking 🙂
Question 8: What’s your favorite junk food?
I honestly love junk food, and genuinely think the first fix for everything should be a chocolate bar so this is really hard…I’m going to have to go with chocolate cheesecake, which is the best invention ever.
Question 9: Do you have a pet or pets? If so, what kind and what are their names?
My family have two dogs (two golden retrievers), but obviously since I’ve now moved out I don’t get to see them too much 🙁 My other half’s family also has a ginger cat. In terms of pets I personally own, I have a snake called Velvet, a royal python around 4 foot long, who is scared of water and absolutely hopeless at eating.
Question 10: What are your favorite fiction and nonfiction books?
Non-fiction: I love anything animal/conservation related. Babylon’s Ark, about the Baghdad zoo during the Iraq war and the efforts to save the animals, is a particular favourite. I also like anyything psychology related, and one book that’s stuck with me from that is First Person Plural, which I read years and years ago and loved.
Fiction: Harry Potter, all of the Robin Hobb books, David Eddings, Game of Thrones, Throne of Glass… Give me all of the fantasy!
Question 11: What’s your favorite beauty product?
Nail varnish – I am obsessed, even though I’m usually too lazy to even wear it. I have over 100 bottles, plus various bits and bobs for making my own, plus a set of Bundle Monster stamping plates… Need to find a way to make myself get more use out of them!
Question 12: When were you last embarrassed? What happened?
Frequently! Most recently was a translation issue, someone said ‘I’ve forgotten what a [can’t remember what the actual word was] is”, so I explained it….she was making a joke because she’d been too busy to enjoy whatever it was! Should have known as her English is brilliant. Doh.
Question 13: If you could only drink one beverage (besides water) for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Probably milk. I was going to say Dr Pepper but I drink milk a lot more often, so I’d be gutted if I couldn’t drink it. Especially chocolate milk 😉
Question 15: What were you in highschool: prom queen, nerd, cheerleader, jock, valedictorian, band geek, loner, artist, prep?
Nerd/band geek I guess (singing not instrument, too unco-ordinated for that!)? I was a lot less overt in my geekiness then though, whereas now I’m pretty happy to share my crazy levels of enthusiasm.
Question 16: If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
I’m not sure yet 😉 I loved Barbados, but there’s still a lot of places I haven’t explored yet! Ideally, somewhere warm, near the sea, with lots of wildlife.
Question 17: PC or Mac?
PC hands down. I reluctantly love my iPhone but I really don’t like Macs. They don’t play nicely with all the same software as a PC, I think the OS is less user-friendly and I really object to the fact that you pay twice as much for the same specs.
Question 18: Last romantic gesture from a crush, date, boy/girlfriend, spouse?
My other half has been a godsend this week – he’s been up with me most mornings, making my breakfast and lunch, and then he’s been doing all the cooking, cleaning etc in the evenings, so I guess he’s a keeper 😉
Question 19: Favorite celebrity?
Question 20: What blogger do you secretly wish you were best friends with?
All of them! (Unless they hate the moment above in which case, sorry, deal breaker). In all seriousness though, I love chatting to other bloggers, who understand my book obsession and share my fangirly moments, but who I can also share my non-book related fun with, like baking a Tardis cake and dyeing my hair red!
Like Micheline, I’m not going to tag specific people because there’s nothing worse than being tagged when you don’t want to take part! But if you haven’t yet done and would like to, please do and then let me know so I can come and be nosy 😉
