Top Ten Tuesday (#67): Top Ten Books I Wouldn’t Mind Santa Bringing This Year

Top Ten Tuesday is a feature hosted at The Broke and The Bookish where they post a list idea and everyone is welcome to post the list with their own answers. This week’s topic is “Top Ten Books I Wouldn’t Mind Santa Bringing This Year”.

To be honest, I don’t really tend to get books at Christmas, I think because my family are worried about buying something I’ve already got/read, and also because a book isn’t exactly the longest-lasting gift 😉 But I can pick out a few in case I get vouchers or in case Matt is reading this looking for a last minute idea!

The Sequels

Captive – although I wasn’t wowed by Pawn, I’m definitely still curious, which makes this the ideal gift as I’m unlikely to buy it myself.
The Treatment – I read The Program last year as part of Pulseit’s 31 days of Reading without any real expectations. I ended up loving it, so I wouldn’t mind getting my hands on the sequel!
Rain – I adored Ink but still haven’t got around to getting Rain, partially because it’s so gorgeous I want the physical copy and I know we have no space for more books!
Altered – I really loved Crewel but fate doesn’t seem to want me to have Altered. I’ve so far ordered two copies that didn’t show up and got refunded, and I’ve still never been able to find it in a bookshop!
Cress – I liked both Cinder and Scarlet, but haven’t been desperate to keep up with the series. Having said that, I’ve heard fabulous things about Cress so I definitely want to get around to it.
The Prince – I’m halfway through the second book at the moment and enjoying it, plus I feel like Santa wouldn’t judge 😉

The Standalone

Leaving Time – I’m a big Jodi Picoult fan and Leaving Time has elephants in. Enough said.

The Series Starters

All Our Yesterdays | Enclave | Across the Universe

No particular reason for these three except they’re three series I’ve heard great things about and they popped into my head when I was trying to think of series I want to start but haven’t yet!

What books will you be hoping for at Christmas?

  1. I don’t tend to get many books over the holidays either…though my mom is usually good for amazon giftcards 😀 I sure hope Santa brings you all of the books you’ve wished for this year; especially Cress ♥ I still need to read Across the Universe and All Our Yesterdays too…not to mention Crewel and Pawn >.< Happy holidays Faith!! And here's to more bookish goodness in the new year! xx
