Top Ten Tuesday (#68): Top Ten Books On My Spring TBR List

Top Ten Tuesday is a feature hosted at The Broke and The Bookish where they post a list idea and everyone is welcome to post the list with their own answers. This week is “Top Ten Books On My Spring TBR List”.  I’m pretty awful at sticking to my list so I’ve chosen 12 to give me a little extra choice!

Sequels

The Book of Life (All Souls #3): I loved A Discovery of Witches and Shadow of Night, but I’m waiting for the paperback of The Book of Life since I have both of the first two in paperback.

The Wise Man’s Fear (Kingkiller #2): It took me a long while to get into The Name of the Wind, but once I did I really enjoyed it.  I don’t know if I’ll get round to both this and The Book of Life as they’re both chunky fantasies, but I don’t want to take too long a gap before reading this one or I think I’ll lose my enthusiasm!

New Series

The Knife of Never Letting Go: I’ve got the first two books of this series on my shelf but I just haven’t got around to them yet.

Talon & The Winner’s Curse: I’ve heard great things about both of these and they were on a kindle deal last week.  Hopefully I’ll get around to them soon, rather than them sitting on my kindle for ages!

A Court of Thorns and Roses: I’m not 100% convinced about this one – the blurb just doesn’t hook me, but I LOVE the Throne of Glass series so there’s no way I’ll be passing up another Sarah J. Maas series.

Standalones

Station Eleven: I got this as part of the Ninja Book Swap but still haven’t opened it.  Oops?

Leaving Time: I love Jodi Picoult and this one has elephants. What else do I need? 😉

The Ocean at the End of the Lane: It’s getting embarrassing how long this has been on my kindle, hoping to finally get to it this season!

Review Copies

A Thousand Pieces of You: I was really excited for this one, but I just wasn’t in the mood for it, and then a few negative reviews made me hesitate to pick it up.  I’m determined to finally read it and make my own decision!

Conspiracy of Blood and Smoke: I loved Prisoner of Night and Fog so I’m looking forward to this one.

Crimson Bound: Cruel Beauty was a five star read for me last year and I love the sound of Crimson Bound so I can’t wait to read this one.

What’s on your Spring TBR List?

  1. I can heartily recommend Station Eleven, The Ocean at the End of the Lane and the Chaos Walking Trilogy – they’re all fantastic books! 🙂

I still haven’t read A Discovery of Witches even tho I’ve had it on my shelf for ages. It just seems so big, I always bypass it for a shorter read, ha.
