I was putting this post off until I got home and had access to all of my t-shirts, but I was having too much fun browsing my wishlist today to put it off anymore. I’m afraid that means the images (apart from the hoody which I’d already uploaded to the blog) are from around the web. The top three images are from ebay and the bottom two (which I know are illegible, I’m sorry!) are from my original Amazon order, but the shirts no longer exist!
My collection so far
Expecto Patronum | Hogwarts | Slytherin
All three of these are originally from Primark, though I had to pick the Slytherin one up on ebay because our local Primark never had any! The Expecto Patronum shirt is my favourite because it’s a great comfy fit, and although not Slytherin, the colour is at least!
Marauders Map | Deathly Hallows
These two were both bought on Amazon but have since disappeared. The one on the left says ‘I solemnly swear that I am up to no good’ and the closest one I’ve found is probably this one. The one on the right has quotes about the Deathly Hallows to make up the symbol – it’s pretty much identical to this one, and the text reads “Death plucked a stone from the river and offered it to him” for the circle, “Death fashioned him one from an Elder tree that stood nearby” in the centre, and “And so it was that Death reluctantly handed over his own Cloak of Invisibility” for the triangle.
This is my favourite piece of Harry Potter clothing, a hoody I bought at the Warner Brothers Studio Tour. It’s a sort of slate grey/blue colour, so it’s neutral enough to wear even with coloured skinny jeans etc. It’s not as in your face as most of my other geeky clothes and it’s also warm and comfy – I wear this a ridiculous amount, and I can pretty much guarantee I’m going to end up buying one of the other hoodies they have available when I get back to the studio tour next!
On my wishlist
I love the jumper on the left – it doesn’t expressly mention Slytherin, Harry Potter or Hogwarts anywhere on it, but it’s nonetheless clear to a fan that it’s Harry Potter themed. I’d love the top on the right for (the rare times I do any) exercise – it’d be especially great on a cooler day when a vest top won’t cut it.
The Marauders Map dress has been on my wishlist for just about forever, and is the item that originally drew me to Black Milk (which I continually admire but have yet to order anything from!). The hoodie was an etsy find and I love the simplicity of it. The Always t-shirt was also an Etsy find and although hoodies, t-shirts and other things with a deer/stag and always on abound, I especially love the ombre colour on this one.
