I’ve been on holiday for the last couple of weeks which is why I’ve finished so many books! The Poppy War, Morning Star and Iron Gold were all re-reads ready for the sequels coming out, and of course I loved them just as much this time around as before. I’ve been trying to read more non-fiction this year and I’d heard great things about In Order to Live so I picked that up on Kindle as it was only £1.99 and have to say it was a brilliant read.
I picked up Crazy Rich Asians through Kindle Unlimited but I have to admit I haven’t got very far – I’ve also started The Dragon Republic, sequel to The Poppy War, and I am absolutely hooked on that!
I pre-ordered a copy of Dark Age absolutely ages ago but haven’t been able to go and pick it up yet. I’m hoping to do that in the next few days, so I’ll be juggling between that – a huge sci-fi book, and The Dragon Republic – a huge fantasy book, so I can’t imagine I’ll have much else to report next week between the size of those two! What I need to do is start thinking about my NEWTs readathon list a bit more, as I did a very brief plan before I went on holiday but haven’t really thought about it since – oops.

Which colour books are most under-represented on your shelves? Turns out it’s yellow for me, as I discovered when I tried to find some books to match the yellow in my bee themed bullet journal spread this week! I’ve had mixed results with the bullet journal so far, because I’m not very good at keeping up with it, but I’m trying to build up the habit during the holidays while I have some extra free time. This is definitely more colourful and creative than I’d usually go for, and during term-time I’m sure I’ll be back to pure minimalism but I had a lot of fun doodling my little bee! Afterwards I finished my reread of Iron Gold so now I’m ready for Dark Age 📚 🐝 #bookstagram #books #showmeyourplanner #bibliophile
