The Sunday Post

Reading this week:

  • I finished The Nowhere Man
  • I discovered the Prime Reading part of Amazon and instantly started Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 1: Cosmic Avengers
  • Also through Prime Reading I read Attack on Titan volume 1

Reading next:

I’m honestly not sure what I fancy reading next which is partly why I was so excited to find the comics section of the Prime Reading feature, because it meant I could get stuck into one of those while I tried to figure out what I fancied.  I was really in the mood for Rain & Storm by Amanda Sun for the Can You Read a Series in a month challenge, but as you can probably tell by the fact it’s the 25th and I’ve so far only read the first book, I’m not feeling quite so desperate to pick them up at the minute!  That’s partially just because I’ve been really in the mood for physical books over kindle – I blame the nice weather, because even though I can read on my kindle in the sun, I’d prefer paper.

This week on the blog:

Coming up next week:

  • Top Ten Tuesday: Best books I’ve read so far this year
  • Mini review for Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Avengers

Posts I loved this week:

  • Given that our internet has been down quite a bit this week and today is the first day I’ve done any blogging or blog reading, I haven’t got anything to share yet! That’s also why I didn’t post as much as I’d like and why I’ve not done much scheduling ahead!

Books added to my shelves this week:

Guardians of the Galaxy vol 1: Cosmic Avengers  – Borrowed
Attack on Titan volume 1 – Borrowed
The Nowhere Man (Gregg Hurwitz) – Bought

The Sunday Post

Reading this week:

  • I finished my re-read of Ink as part of the Can You Read a Series in a month? challenge
  • I also finished The Dry – I picked it up on Friday evening and by Saturday it was finished!

Reading next:

Honestly I’m not sure what I’m reading next! I haven’t been making much progress with Who Runs the World? so I think I’ll concentrate on trying to get that finished before COYER starts.

This week on the blog:

…Nothing.  Next week will be better!

Coming up next week:

  • My review for Am I Normal Yet? by Holly Bourne
  • Sign up and reading list for COYER
  • I’m working on a new bullet journal set up so possibly a post about that too

Posts I loved this week:

  • Bec discussed her bookish pet peeves.  I especially have to agree with her on changing book sizes partway through a series – it drives me mad!
  • The COYER Summer Reading List challenge starts on June 17th.  Since I’m a sucker for a challenge, my sign up and list will go up next week.
  • Mini blog-ahead is also happening June 15th-June 30th…. Is it too crazy to try and do both?
  • This is an older post but since I’m still having bullet journal issues, I enjoyed reading Stephanie’s thoughts on blogging with a planner versus to do list
  • Kat’s hosting a flexible photo challenge/readathon which sounds kind of awesome and I might have to join (especially since I get drawn in by Instagram but have to post anything…But I don’t have a copy of the group read so still deciding….)
  • Gee has too many books and she’s sharing her tips for culling. I have only a small bookcase which I’m trying to keep organised and that means I’m definitely going to have to get rid of some books, so this is just what I needed!
  • Rachel’s summer bucket list is filled with all kinds of fun looking things and is just an awesome idea.

My Week

Okay wow, I have been a terrible blogger this week! I must have caught some kind of bug or flu laast weekend, because I spent about half this week in bed/being sick, so I’ve pretty much done no reading, no blogging, no anything-productive-of-any-kind!  Instead, I spent a lot of time asleep and started (and binge watched a lot of) Pretty Little Liars.  I’m feeling a lot better now, and just feel like I have a bad cold, so I’m feeling a bit more myself again!  This weekend was also the wedding I mentioned I had coming up, which was lovely, and I’m planning to probably just have a lazy reading day today.

Finished: Wolf Wilder (last week), Cardcaptor Sakura #5 (last week), Cardcaptor Sakura #6

Currently Reading: Empire of Storms

My Week

This week has been great – I was at work the first few days and then off visiting family, which has been great fun but hasn’t meant much reading time! I haven’t made too much progress for #ReadThemAllThon but I did get The Lost Hero finished, which I really enjoyed.  I’ve nearly finished Queen of Shadows too, which I’m re-reading ready for Empire of Storms.  Not too much else on to report really!

Finished: The Lost Hero

Currently Reading: Queen of Shadows
