My Week

This week has felt very slow – I basically have nothing to report!  Work has been unexciting, and I think it’s felt even slower thanks to my weekend away.  I went out for a leaving do for someone on Friday which was nice, and we’re going out for dinner tomorrow for Mothers’ Day, but that’s about it.

Other than that, I’ve re-started watching Once Upon a Time and been taking part in Bloggiesta this weekend.

My Week

Oh dear! Well, this week I finally started taking a step out of my reading slump I think.  I’m up visiting Matt at uni this weekend too, which is why blogging has been virtually non-existent!  We had a night out on Friday, and other than that we’ve mostly just been socialising with his housemates and catching up on some TV.  Last night we watched Catching Fire with chinese take out, and for tonight’s film (as yet undecided) we’ve got steak and then I’ve got some coffee ice cream I’m excited about!  I’ll be heading home tomorrow, and I’ll also be taking part in Bloggiesta next weekend (although I haven’t done my sign up post yet), so things should start heading back to normal on the blogging front pretty soon 🙂

Reading

Finished: Fire and Bitterblue

Up Next: First up I’m going to try and finish The Silver Chain, because it’s been on the go for what feels like forever!  After that I’m not sure – whatever jumps out at me on my kindle while I’m on the train!

My Week

week-10

Work has been absolutely crazy this week (mostly in good ways) so by the time I’ve got home and cooked dinner etc, my brain has felt a bit like mush.  Other than work and then relaxing in the evenings, I haven’t really done much this week except go to the cinema.  I admit, I did something other bookworms may find unthinkable – I went to see The Book Thief before finishing the book!

Reading

Finished: I haven’t finished a single book this week!

Up Next: I’m having a bit of a seasonal reading slump, so whatever jumps out at me this week in the hope of getting things kickstarted again!

I got two books this week.  The lovely folk at HodderFiction sent me a copy of Two For Joy because I sent them a picture of a hedgehog reading (it makes more sense then it sounds!).  I was also very excited to find a review copy of Prince of Fools waiting for me at home after a crappy day this week.  Big thanks also to HarperVoyager for drastically improving my day!

My Week

I have a terrible confession for a filofax owner…This week, I didn’t pick my filofax up once! I’ve had very little on this week except work, and so between that and not really blogging (oops), I just didn’t really have much to write about.  This week I…

  • …finally saw Gravity. I’m still not honestly sure how I felt about it!
  • …went out for dinner for someone’s birthday, and ordered a blue steak. Call me a cavewoman, but I’ll be ordering it that way from now on!
  • …Played some Pokemon on my breaks, because I’m a kid like that!

Reading

Finished: Panic

Up Next: I honestly have no idea what’s next! I’ve been working on The Book Thief but I haven’t got very far into it.  My reading since Christmas has been much slower, so this week I’m not going to plan, just try and read what I fancy!

Since we’re both skint, we agreed on a £5 budget for Valentine’s day gifts.  Part of my gift was a copy of The Cuckoo’s Calling because I still haven’t read it, so that’s one of my incoming this week.  Other than that, my grandparents picked up a second hand copy of Virals for me when we went shopping and I got some library books.

My Week

I very impressively managed to leave my filofax at a friend’s house over the weekend, so I’m photo-less this week.  This week I…

  • …spent a day shopping with my dad and sister.
  • …went out for cocktails and chinese food over the weekend.
  • …got engrossed in Graceling and didn’t complete anything for the Review copy clean up!

Reading

Finished: Graceling

Up Next: [Review pile] Panic or [TBR pile] Daughter of Smoke and Bone
(although I did say this last week and have yet to start either so in all honesty, most likely Fire)
