Goals, Monday plans

Monday plans

This morning I discovered Sheila at Book Journey’s ‘What are you reading?’ Mondays, where everyone posts their reading plans for the week.  Here are mine (with blog & personal plans thrown in!).

Plan for this week:

Last week:

Blog & Personal

This week:

  • Sort my filofax out! It’s been abandoned recently because the 9-5 columns in my week to view feel too structured now that university is finished for the summer.
  • Do some exercise – I had a terrible ProPoints day yesterday and really need to get back on track.
  • Figure out a birthday plan – It’s my 21st this Saturday but as we’re mid moving house, there’s boxes everywhere etc. I’ll be doing a big thing later on in the summer once we’ve moved, but I still need to think of SOMETHING to do on Saturday itself.
  • Try 3 new recipes for eventual posting on the blog

Last week:

– The book links included here go to Amazon – yes this DOES mean that if you choose to purchase the book through that link, I may make a small percentage of the sale.
– This in no way increases the price of the book to you, and every book included here is one I personally have read/plan to read.  I have chosen to include Amazon links not only for monetizing purposes but also because Amazon is where I buy my books – they’re cheaper than competitors, include free delivery and offer student discount.

What are you reading? What are your plans for the week?

If you’d be interested in posting your reading plans for the week, write a post or comment, head on over to Book Journeys page and submit your link.  For every 10 posts you read/comments you make you get one entry into her giveaway.

    1. Thank you 🙂

Honestly, I’m finding it okay – one of those easy reading, not fantastic but not bad, kinda books.
It’s interesting enough to finish out the first three at least (since I have them already), and it’s a nice break from Clash of Kings, which I’m struggling to get back into after a break.

      Thank you very much 🙂

  1. I will defo read clash of kings straight after i finish game of thrones im really getting into it now. Im in south east wales near newport. The forest of hands and teeth is a really good book just drags a bit. Its part of a trilogy and is being made into a film in 2013.

  2. I read City of Bones last week, but the rest of the series is going to wait until I get my NetGalley list under control. At least I finally know kind of what the hype is about!

I hope you like Dragon Haven. I found the Rain Wilds books a bit of a letdown, especially considering how much I LOVED the Farseer/Liveship/Tawny Man books. But maybe you’ll love them!

Thanks for stopping by my It’s Monday post!

    1. Really? I loved the Farseer & Liveship books but thought the Tawny Man ones were a let down in comparison. Here’s hoping Dragon Haven isn’t a disappointment after Dragon Keeper.

Yeah, I’m finding the Mortal Instruments ones okay, and I’m loving the break for my brain in comparison to A Clash of Kings!

  3. I love the monday round up posts 🙂
I normally post my challenges on a separate page not sure if that works on WordPress though 🙂
I keep meaning to pick up a Robin Hobb book– they always sound so interesting!
I hope you come up with a brilliant plan for saturday- it’s my BF’s 21st birthday so we are heading out for a fancy meal 🙂
    Have a lovely week!

  4. Happy Birthday for saturday! Stopped by to wish you a great reading week!

  5. Happy early Birthday to you.

I gooe you find that you like being at Goodreads. I like it a lot there. A nice way to keep track of my books and to get quick glimpses into what others reading. If I had time, I would probably become a bit more involved in some of the book discussions there too.
