Stacking the shelves

Stacking the Shelves (#39)

So you know how I was doing really well on the book buying front? That all went out the window this week, big time! I bought eight books this week. That sounds obscene from a budget point of view, BUT they were from the second hand bookshop/the works, and so I got all 8 for £8, which I can’t really argue with!

Some of these have been on my TBR list for a while, like Dragon Bound, Blood Red Road, Havisham and The Desert Spear.  A few were totally new to me but jumped out at me whilst browsing, like Prophecy: Clash of Kings and The Heir of Night.

Having gone overboard on the book haul this week I might need to reduce my book buying for the rest of the year: not just for budget purposes but also because I’m gaining books far faster than I can read them! I don’t want to go on a full ban, mostly because there are some great new releases I want, but I might try a tight budget challenge. Time for a brainstorm I think.

For Review

The Accidental Call Girl (NetGalley)

The Heir of Night
Blood Red Road
Prophecy: Clash of Kings
Dragon Bound

Did you get any great books this week? Any suggestions for what I should read first?!

  1. I ended up buying books from The Works yesterday. I have been buying more books than I can read for years though…have just decided there’s worse things I could be doing!

    1. It’s true, I feel less guilty buying books than food, because at least the books last! I find it virtually impossible to resist The Works because it’s so budget friendly and there’s always something that jumps out at me.
