My Week

Work has been absolutely crazy this week (mostly in good ways) so by the time I’ve got home and cooked dinner etc, my brain has felt a bit like mush.  Other than work and then relaxing in the evenings, I haven’t really done much this week except go to the cinema.  I admit, I did something other bookworms may find unthinkable – I went to see The Book Thief before finishing the book!

Finished: I haven’t finished a single book this week!

Up Next: I’m having a bit of a seasonal reading slump, so whatever jumps out at me this week in the hope of getting things kickstarted again!

    1. Thanks Celine 🙂 I don’t often go and see the film first, and this was a really weird case because I’d actually started the book and got about 200 pages in when I got invited to go and see it with a couple of friends (one of whom had read the book, and one who hadn’t). I’ve decided this may just be the worst way of doing it though, because I’d read all the set-up stage of the book, without any real plot!

I did really enjoy the film though, and I’m glad in a way I saw it first, because I wasn’t getting on amazingly with the book. I think that’s mostly because I was reading it because I ‘had’ to finish it before the film, even though I didn’t fancy it at the time. Now I’ve got the luxury of going back and finishing it when I AM in the mood!
