May Wrap-Up

May was for survey design, about 400 survey revisions (okay maybe not, but it felt like it!), digging up the right email contacts and sending out lots and lots of survey invitations.  It was also for going to the zoo (twice), making a piano birthday cake, seeing Wicked, buying a new camera and some great TV!  So not all work 😉

Watching

I’ve had a pretty month in terms of films and TV.  I saw Pitch Perfect 2 with my family which I thought was hilarious and just great fun.  We tried to see Mad Max but it was sold out, so we watched Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 at home instead – I had really low expectations of it but it was genuinely funny, and some of the food animals are just adorable! I also watched The Fault in Our Stars with my family which I quite enjoyed – I wasn’t a big fan of the book (I know, sorry!), so I think I actually preferred the film.

In terms of TV, I finished seasons 1 & 2 of Nashville by having it on in the background while I was working, and I’m disappointed that season 3 isn’t on Netflix/Amazon Prime/Now TV yet.  Matt and I also finished Smallville, and we’re nearly back up to date with Agents of SHIELD again.  We’ve also been continuing with Game of Thrones which has been awesome, even though it’s starting to get very different from the books now.

  1. Oooh a piano cake! That sounds challenging^^ but from what I remember of the TARDIS cake you made, I’m sure it looked awesome ;D You still managed to get quite a bit of good reading done, despite being so busy, which is good! I still need to see Mad Max too but the bf has convinced me to watch the old movies before we see the new one >.< haha! Oh and: EEEP! I spy Raven Boys up there ♥♥♥ Happy reading Faith! xx
