Read Play Blog: Games I’m looking forward to

Read Play Blog is a meme about video games and books, posted every 16th of the month. Bloggers are encouraged to answer a discussion question, and recommend a video game that is similar to a book they liked. Hosted by Happy Indulgence & Read Me Away.

December’s theme: What games are you looking forward to in the holiday season?

The Sims 4

I finally bought this one on Black Friday this year, but I still haven’t actually played it yet!  I’m really looking forward to finding some time over Christmas to play at last, and although I’m nervous about the missing features compared to previous versions, I’m excited for something that should run much more quickly – although my laptop more than meets the specs for Sims 3 they just never played well and it was beyond frustrating!

Rise of the Tomb Raider

Tomb Raider was one of the suggestions for me as a person who’d never quite got to grips with new consoles (I say new, I’m not really competent on anything beyond PS2 really!) but I have to admit I didn’t give it much of a chance.  I’m much more tempted to play the new and shiny version though 😉

Any Sword Art Online game

I discovered Sword Art Online this year and got pretty much hooked on the anime, though admittedly it definitely went downhill.  I’d like to give one of the games a try though, mostly just because of how much I loved the series, but also because there aren’t many games that I play that are just ‘mine’ – most are ones I play with friends, or that my boyfried and I both play or that I think of as ‘his’ games if you see what I mean!  I’m hoping I might get one for Christmas, but if not I’ll probably treat myself in near future.

Currently Playing

What can I say, I just couldn’t resist!  The limit on building your own zoo is a huge frustration, but I’m still really enjoying the rest of the game, so I keep playing.

What are you looking forward to playing over the holidays?

    1. Aah a Wii party sounds awesome! Haha well we have an Xbox one/PS4 but to be honest I’ve never really progressed to competency – using one stick for the camera and one for moving still confuses me! And then because I’m pretty naff I get frustrated lol, I definitely need more practice.
