Top Ten Tuesday is a feature hosted at The Broke and The Bookish where they post a list idea and everyone is welcome to post the list with their own answers. This week we’re talking about “Top Ten Books I’ve Recently Added To My TBR”.
Attack On Titan: Before the Fall vol 1
I’d like to try out some manga, since I enjoyed quite a lot of anime during 2015. I loved the Attack on Titan anime, but I haven’t read any of the manga. Before the Fall, a prequel series, sounds totally up my street, so it’s one I’d like to give a try.
When I was looking around for manga recommendations over the weekend, Fruits Basket kept popping up, and I also know it’s one of Rinn’s favourites, which is enough of a recommendation for me!
Robotic horses and female friendships? Sounds awesome!
I Was Here
I was reading about I was Here on someone’s blog the other day, and although I’m not a big contemporary fan, this one just sounded intriguing, so onto the list it went!
Our Endless Numbered Days
This was added pretty much on a whim, just because it sounded interesting. Since adding it to my TBR, I’ve already read it and sadly I didn’t end up loving it as much as I wanted to (review coming soon!)
Given that 27 of my goodreads friends have rated this one, with an average of 4/5, I have no idea how I’d got this far without it being on my TBR list. I share a lot of reading taste with Micheline and Rinn, both of whom rated this five stars, so I just had to add it!
Percy Jackson & The Last Olympian
I realised that although I’ve now finished the first four books in the series, the final book wasn’t on my TBR list. Since I want to concentrate on finishing and catching up with series, this one popped up in mind as one to focus on and I added it to the TBR so it doesn’t get forgotten!
Having just finished Fool Moon, book 2 in the Dresden files on audio, it just made sense to add book three. I’m not as hooked on the series as most people seem to be, but I enjoy them, and James Marsters’ narration makes for pleasant, easy listening, so I’ll keep going with them.
A Court of Mist and Fury
I debated for ages about whether to read A Court of Thorns and Roses, but I’ve decided to give it a go and am planning to pick up a copy on payday this month. I know once I start I’ll want to finish the series, so I thought I’d just save myself the time later and add book 2 now 😉
There was never any doubt in my mind that I’d be reading Assassin’s Fate (because, hello, Robin Hobb?!) but I hadn’t added it to my TBR yet, probably because there was no title etc at the time. Still no cover but I’ve added it to my TBR now.
