Looking Ahead: April 2016

What’s on in April?

So, I stuck to my March TBR list very well, though that’s perhaps unsurprising as I made it late in the month and also fairly small compared to usual!  I had a pretty great reading month, finishing all the books I had planned as well as another five unplanned, making March my best reading month so far by quite a bit.  I don’t have any particular real-life plans for April, just some job applications, working and possibly (though probably not) taking part in Camp NaNoWriMo.

Last month’s TBR list

| Completed
Dreams of Gods & Monsters | Completed
An Ember in the Ashes | Completed
Fellside | Completed

Kindred Spirits | Completed
The Accident Season | Completed

+ The Winner of the April TBR poll

In April I’ll be taking part in ARC April, hosted by Read.Sleep.Repeat, which is all about getting through some of those ARCs, whether old or new.  I’m aiming for the silver level (5-9 books in the month) and I’ve picked a few upcoming titles (Traitor Angels + Ruined), as well as some backlist ones.  Outside of ARCs, I’ll definitely be reading The Raven King because I’ve pre-ordered it, as well as whatever wins the April TBR poll, and Armada because that’s my current audiobook listen.  A very ambitious TBR list this month – to get to all of these I’d have to basically stay on-list with all my reading choices, so definitely a bit stricter than I normally am, but I wanted to give it a try for the sake of ARC April!

What do you have planned for April?

  1. Good for you on beating your goals for March – even though they were smaller you still managed to nail it and then some 😀 Good luck with the ARC challenge! After 3 years in a row at BEA, I should give myself a similar ARC reading challenge…

YES to The Raven King – even though I’m terrified my soul will be crushed after it, I desperately want to read it all the same. Masochist much?! XD YAY Armada! I’ll be checking that one out as my next audio listen too – once I finish The Heroes of Olympus (1 book left after my current one)! Happy April! xx
