Watching

Movies:
Zootropolis – Loved!  Gorgeous film, wonderful message, cute animation, some laugh out loud funny moments… Great fun.
Star Wars Episodes I & II – I haven’t seen these in YEARS so we’ve been re-watching which is great fun.  It’s amazing how much I’d forgotten!
The Jungle Book – Really really enjoyed. Another gorgeous film, and I especially loved the tongue-in-cheek comment about pangolin endangered-ness.

TV:
Cardcaptors (1 x 34-35 & Cardcaptors: The Movie) – I haven’t seen much more of this yet, just because I feel like I’ve been short on time, but I’m still loving it.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D (3 x 8-9) – Since we finished Nashville Season 3 and don’t have Season 4 yet, Agents of SHIELD has become our replacement show to watch all together.  We’re finally all up to the same point now, so hopefully we should get some more of this watched in May!
Daredevil (2 x 3-10)I enjoyed Daredevil season 2, but I’m also kind of glad it’s over.  I feel like it’s been getting more and more gruesome (I am admittedly a giant wimp when it comes to gore!) and it seems to have got more serious.  I’m still enjoying it, but I didn’t want to binge watch it like I expected – I felt like I needed to mix it up with some more light hearted shows!
How to Get Away With murder (2 x 10-15) – Honestly, I don’t know if we’ll end up watching Season 3.  I loved Season 1 but a lot of Season 2 felt slow going, and although it’s a show we normally watch all together at home, I think we’ve all sort of lost interest.
Game of Thrones (6 x 1) – Argh, I know most people are loving the fact we’re moving into new territory now, but I actually miss knowing what was coming, and when the most gruesome bits were coming!  Also, there are of course going to be differences between this and the books so it’s going to become a debate about canon eventually too.  BUT I still loved the first episode (also, anyone else think it was less gory than usual?) – a slow start, as always with this show, but I have SO missed these characters and this world and I’m loving that it’s all back!

—> I’m looking for a new TV show to watch & I’d love your suggestions!
I’ve seen/currently watch (aside from the above obviously): Nashville, Once Upon a Time, Vampire Diaries, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Orphan Black.

  1. Ooo, doing great on the reading! I’m hoping to start Attack on Titan soon as well, though I heard it would probably break my heart 🙂

I’ve been watching a lot of historical stuff lately, like Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries and Downton Abbey. I got halfway in the second season of Daredevil, but I think I stopped watching because I’m a wimp too and I got too scared xD Will probably continue it at a later date though

  2. YAY for The Raven King, Maggie Stiefvater, Armada, Star Wars and Daredevil – though I can see that last one getting darker and darker. When I (finally) start the S02, I might have to break it up with another show too! Good to know anyway so thanks for mentioning it 🙂 Happy May and good luck with you next tv show selection *cough* SUPERNATURAL *cough* XD
