Sims-a-thon Round #2 TBR

The Sims-a-thon is a readathon themed all around – as I’m sure you can guess – The Sims. You can see my announcement post here for all the details but the general gist is simple. Basically, there are a series of reading prompts based on The Sims 4, you choose the path to start your Sim on, and then you work through any live mode prompts you fancy. For every prompt you complete, you get points!
The paths you can choose from to get started on your Sims-A-Thon readathon!
I am SUCH a mood reader that planning out my TBR is really hard, because guaranteed a week in I’ll have changed my mind, so I’ve planned out some options for just some of the prompts to give me a starting idea, and then I’ll have to tweak as I go! I don’t know how many books I’ll manage to get through, so I’ve picked the highest priority titles, and will start with those.  You’ll notice I’ve tried to pair with higher scoring challenges where I can, because I figure why not be strategic about it?!

Starting challenges:

Create-A-Sim (Read a first in a series, 5 points):
– The Rise of Kyoshi, F. C. Yee

Buy a house (book set in our world, 3 points)
– The Fireman, Joe Hill

Build a house (book set in another world, 3 points)
– Sea Witch Rising, Sarah Henning

Live Mode & career challenges:

Get a job as an astronaut (book set in space, 5 points)
– Dark Age, Pierce Brown
– Alien: Out of the Shadows, Tim Lebbon

Get a job as a secret agent (mystery/thriller, 5 points)
– The Shining Girls, Lauren Beukes

Have a baby (a book that features a child, 5 points)
– Jurassic Park, Michael Crichton

Fall in Love (romance element, 3 points)
– The Cruel Prince, Holly Black

Outdoor Retreat:

Purchase camping equipment (a book that ends on an odd page number, 3 points)
– Awakened, James S. Murray & Darren Wearmouth
Explore the Forest (an atmospheric book, 3 points)
– Tunnel of Bones, Victoria Schwab
Collect insects (Bug on the cover, 3 points):
– The Bees, Laline Paull
Sing around the campfire (book in verse/poetry, 3 points)
– Tricks, Ellen Hopkins
Gain a herbalism skill (pair a book with a favourite drink, 3 points)

Are you good at planning out your TBR in advance? Will you be planning which prompt a book goes with before you read or figuring it out after you finish?
